New at Custom Typing Training:  Animated Coaches and Extra Guidance for Beginners

Custom Typing Training is our web site designed to help you improve your typing speed.  We've just released an enhancement which gives you the option of choosing an animated coach to guide you along.  The coaches talk to you, point out important items on the screen, and have emotion.  They will let you know how you're doing, and are lots of fun to have around!

There are several coaches to choose from (or you can choose to not have a coach).  The coaches are part of the extra help the web site now provides to beginners.  So, if you're a very slow typist or have barely touched a keyboard, now is the best time to sign up for a free trial.

Custom Typing Training provides all you need to improve your typing speed.  There is no software to download, and you can try it for free!  To learn more, just visit us online at www.customtyping.com.

Tip of the Week: Fixing Problems Accessing Certain Web Sites

Do you find that some web sites seem to work just fine on your computer, while others don't? The answer may lie in your browser's security and privacy settings. Setting your security or privacy level very high may provide the most protection against unsafe web sites, but may also prevent you from accessing legitimate sites. Fortunately, Internet Explorer offers some settings which provide a good balance, allowing you to access almost all web sites while still ensuring safe browsing. (To ensure the safest web surfing, we also recommend that you download and install all of the security updates that Microsoft releases on a regular basis.) Here's how to adjust your settings:

1.  From Internet Explorer, go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Internet Options".
2.  Click on the "Security" tab.
3.  Move the slider to the "Medium" setting. (If you can't see the slider, click on the "Default Level" button.)
4.  Click on the "Privacy" tab.
5.  Move the slider to the "Medium" setting. (If you can't see the slider, click on the "Default" button.)
6.  Click on OK to save the changes.
