A
fun way to practice typing. The scoring
encourages high speed while maintaining good accuracy, in
addition to answering questions correctly. There are over
2800 questions - more than enough to keep your students
entertained and learning.

Teachers: if you would like to include your own curriculum content, or quiz questions related to work you are doing in class, e-mail us and we will work with you to include your questions in our quiz game. We want to make this web site work for you and your students. This means providing you with age appropriate and level appropriate curriculum content while your students are practicing their keyboarding skills.

| We are currently
working on including a wide variety of age and skill level
appropriate curriculum content. We recognize that practicing
keyboarding and computer skills takes time, and time spent
working on worthwhile content is important. As students are
practicing their typing, it is important that they be using
words, vocabulary, and language that is appropriate for their
grade level, and learning needs. And so, we are currently in
the process of adding a range of exercises which will be
categorized according to grade level and content.
This will include pictures, and
photos as well as corresponding text.
Teachers: as soon as
this is in place, we we will start working on a section where you
can create your own exercises, by entering your text
and adding the photos are pictures you wish. Teacher created
lessons will be an important part of allowing you to customize
typing lessons to integrate with your curriculum.

SPEECH RECOGNITION
Speech recognition is the process of dictating
into a microphone, and having your speech translated into text on the
computer. You also have the option of command and control, which
allows you to type into the microphone and have programs open and
close, file saving etc.
Speech recognition has improved so much over the
last few years, and has become affordable enough, that it is an
extremely viable and useful method of entering text on the computer.
For people who have good speech patterns, and at least a third or
fourth grade reading level, speech recognition can be very powerful in
improving accuracy and efficiency in computer use.

Dragon Naturally Speaking is a simple,
fast and accurate voice dictation program for word-processing. NS will
quickly tune itself to your voice and allow you to begin dictating
with ease. The more you use it, the better it gets. You can dictate
naturally and without pause. Your words, in correct tense and
spelling, will appear on-screen in seconds.
We highly recommend the newest version,

excellent accuracy.
