Features for Teachers and Administrators
Over the summer, we've implemented a
number of enhancements for teachers and administrators:
Create your own
exercises
You can now create your own typing
training exercises for your students. This provides an
excellent opportunity to integrate other classroom topics
with your typing training. (For instance, if your
class is studying dinosaurs, you could create a dinosaur
typing exercise for your students.) Exercises can also
include pictures, to make them more interesting and fun.
Assignments
You now have the option of assigning
exercises to your students, so that they are required to
take them. This gives you more control over your
student's use of the web site. If your students have
assignments at the time they log into the site, they will be
required to take them before they can do anything else.
Organize your Students
into Groups
This is especially useful for schools with
large numbers of students. You can now group students
by teacher, class, grade level, or anything you choose.
This makes it easier to locate and work with only those
students that are of interest to you.
Enhanced Reporting
We've added new reports, to give you a
better idea of your student's progress. Reports are
designed both for viewing online and for printing. You
can also send reports to any email address.
New Exercises
We've added a number of built-in exercises
on a variety of topics, including countries, world
landmarks, and other subjects.
